What started out as an out of hours trip to Green Lane early one Sunday morning for some advice on what to look for when buying a good truck, has turned into over the last month or so a passion for all things Land Rover.

I was given great advice by everyone at Green Lane on what to look for and what to steer clear of. Kev and George even came with me to view a very dodgy although very shiny looking 110 that saved me thousands. Armed with my new found Land Rover buying knowledge (a dangerous thing) I’m now a proud owner of a 2000 White 110.

Since buying Kev and the family has given me sound advice, tips and a great place to have a brew and show off my new toy…My family with its newest member look forward to many years of great service and a new friendship with all at Green Lane.

What can I say about Kevin and the lads at this family run 4x4 business… the sun should always shine over Geenlane 4x4. I was not a lover of defenders, however after being told by the wife "that's what we ARE having" I started the search and came across Greenlane 4x4 via the internet and liked the look of their website. So off we trotted to meet "Delila" that’s what the wife has called the 2000(W) TD5 90 hard top in Caledonian blue we have purchased.

The reason I feel I need to write something is that I updated a couple of things on her and got into a little bother so contacted Kevin and the boys at Geenlane 4x4. All I need say its sorted nothing is too much trouble..... Even when I’m working on her and get stuck (not being a mechanic) the lads and face time were on hand to guide me, if I were to try that at jeep or Nissan it would probably cost you 65 quid!

So what I’m trying to say is if you live in the East Midlands and want a 4x4 then go to Greenlane 4x4. If you don't live in the East Midlands put NG19 8TS into your sat-nav and experience this great wonderful excellent land-rover world for yourselves you never know you maybe be converted like me! Thanks lads and of course not forgetting Carol.

I had had several bad experience trying to buy a Land Rover Defender. One dealer after another gave me the sales pitch without giving me the information I need to make a prudent purchase. I had all but given up when having paid good money for AA inspection I find out that the newly MOT'ed 'showroom condition' vehicle that I was looking at would have immediately failed a MOT on eight counts.

Then I got a call from Kevin from Greenlanes 4x4 Ltd whom I had previously spoken to.
